Business Administration Apprentice/Recruitment Trainee

Overview

Hatch Training is recruiting on behalf of a growing recruitment company for a Business Administration Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification while developing valuable administrative skills within a busy recruitment office.

As your confidence and experience grow, you’ll also be introduced to recruitment, offering a clear progression route into a Recruitment Consultant role.

This apprenticeship is ideal for someone who is organised, enjoys working with people, and is looking to build a long-term career.

Working hours are from 9:30am – 15:30 / Monday – Friday, however on training days you’ll be required to start 9am – 4pm.

Stage 1 – Business Administration & Recruitment Support

You’ll receive full training and ongoing support while learning the day-to-day administration involved in a busy Driving Division, including:

  • General office administration
  • Payroll administration
  • Supporting the recruitment desk
  • Candidate registration and interview administration
  • Recruitment advertising
  • Using recruitment software and internal computer systems
  • Office procedures and compliance
  • Ongoing mentoring and support from experienced staff

Stage 2 – Recruitment Development

As your skills develop, you’ll begin to take on more responsibility, including:

  • Managing and maintaining candidate records
  • Supporting interview and vetting procedures
  • Learning recruitment legislation and compliance
  • Placing and monitoring job advertisements
  • Building relationships with candidates and clients
  • Developing business and understanding the commercial side of recruitment
  • Learning how to grow and manage a recruitment desk

As your confidence increases, you’ll work towards achievable targets that will help prepare you for managing your own recruitment desk in the future.

Ongoing Support

  • Full on-the-job training (both on the job and through Hatch Training)
  • Support from experienced recruitment professionals
  • Regular coaching and mentoring
  • Monthly progress reviews with your manager
  • Constructive feedback to help you develop both your administrative and recruitment skills
