Business Administration Apprentice (B18)
The role
Hatch Training are recruiting for a Level 3 Business Administrator apprentice to join a Healthcare company based in Acocks Green, Birmingham. This role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in the Healthcare industry. The successful candidate will be respnsible for a variety of care administration duties whilst working towards a recognised Level 3 Business Administration qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling complaints and assisting with follow-up actions.
- Preparing and maintaining client folders.
- Assisting with client assessments.
- Answering telephone calls and accurately documenting information in call logs.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure administrative tasks are completed and kept up to date.
- Working closely with HR and the Compliance Team to support the smooth day-to-day running of the business.
- Ensuring CarePlanner is updated daily and accurately.
- Supporting general office and care administration as required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong communication skills, particularly over the phone
- Previous Health and Social Care qualifications / experience is desirable
- Confident, personable, and able to build rapport quickly
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Comfortable using basic digital tools (email, CRM systems, social media platforms)
- A genuine interest in the Healthcare industry
Working Hours

- 9:00am–5:00pm, 4 days per week
- 30-minute unpaid break each day
- 30 paid hours per week
On-Call Responsibilities
As part of the office team, the successful candidate will also participate in an on-call rota.
- Weekly on-call: The candidate will be allocated one specific day each week to take the office on-call phone home.
- On this day, they will be required to remain available outside normal office hours to respond to any emergency calls, urgent queries or issues that arise.
- Where appropriate, they will deal with the issue directly or escalate it to the relevant member of the team.
- Monthly office on-call rota: The candidate will also participate in the team’s monthly on-call rotation.
- Full details of the on-call rota and expectations will be explained as part of the role.
The Apprenticeship
The successful applicant will be enrolled onto a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship with Hatch Training.
The apprenticeship is 14 months long and you will gain key skills in business administration, including business fundamentals, compliance, communication and professional skills. You will attend remote Tutor-lead training sessions, and build skills in the workplace with guidance from your Support Coach.
To be eligible for the apprenticeship, the successful applicant must meet the below requirements:
Education
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above
- Ability to provide evidence of qualifications
- Willingness to undertake and complete the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship
- Must not already hold a Level 3 Business Administration qualification
- Must have the Right to Work in the UK
